Katalin Zsubrits

Katalin Zsubrits is a Hungarian pianist. She was studying music / piano performance in Budapest, Hungary and the UK and won piano competitions when she was younger. After her studies she spent seven years in the Middle East (Kuwait, Qatar, UAE – Dubai and Abu Dhabi) as a solo pianist where she strived to create awareness of the benefits and importance of music education by teaching piano for children and young adults and organizing piano recitals for them.

In 2014 Katalin was the first musician brought in by Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi, which began a tradition in UAE Hospitals to provide full time, live music performances in the belief that music has healing effects and creates a stress-free atmosphere. She has also made several solo piano recordings in Hungarian National Radio and Pannónia Studios in Budapest and gave recitals in Hungary, UK, Austria, Germany, USA, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar & Indonesia.

She started working with opera singers in 2018 and has given a series of recitals with her soprano colleague Rachel Mills in Hungary, UAE and the USA. She completed her postgraduate diploma ‘Advanced pianoforte studies’ & repetiteur apprenticeship with Mr. Dennis O’Neill’s opera students at UWTSD-WIAV (Wales International Academy of Voice) in Cardiff in 2020. At WIAV she was coached by such singers as Dennis O’Neill, Della Jones, Susan Bullock, Linda Kitchen & Ryland Davies, conductors as Julian Smith, Gareth Jones, Anthony Negus & Jonathan Lyness and piano coach Jane Samuel. Recently she was working with Mid Wales Opera as repetiteur and was member of the Vienna Opera Academy Faculty in 2020. She started working at the Hungarian State Opera House in 2021.
